The Construction Foundation

In 2012 the Construction Foundation of BC was launched by a group of dedicated construction professionals to act as a mechanism for industry to give back to the communities in which they live and work. Our aim is to help build the next generation. We seek to strengthen the connection between school and work through industry leadership and increased awareness of diverse career opportunities, while creating environments in and out of school that support young people to learn by doing.

Skills Ready is the Foundation's pillar initiative.

The mission of the Construction Foundation is to support the advancement of the communities in which we live and work via engagement in charitable initiatives, and commitment to industry focused education and research.

The Foundation is dedicated to the advancement of communities across British Columbia by working through three focus areas.

EDUCATION & TRAINING

By promoting the advancement of industry training and career development, we are helping to develop the industry’s workforce of tomorrow.

RESEARCH

We provide funding opportunities for research projects focused on innovation in the built environment including, but not limited to, the enhancement of safety, improvement of industry practices, and increased focus on sustainability of the construction industry.

GOOD WORKS

We engage in charitable initiatives that support projects in the communities in which we live and work.

Grant & Funding Opportunities

The Construction Foundation provides grants to support a number of projects across the entire province. To date, we have distributed over $3 Million in support of skilled trade and technological education in BC’s K – 12 system.
